Description
2.5-slot design
The Prime RTX 5060 features a 2.5-slot design with a carefully engineered layout of the shroud, heatsink, and heat pipes, allowing three Axial-tech fans to utilize case side-panel ventilation for optimal heat dissipation.
Axial-tech improvements
Three proven Axial-tech fans enable longer fan blades and a barrier ring to increase downward air pressure, resulting in lower temperatures, reduced noise, and higher performance.
0 dB Technology
All three fans stop spinning when the GPU temperature drops below 50°C, enabling quiet gameplay in less demanding titles or light tasks. The fans restart when the temperature exceeds 55°C, following a speed curve that balances performance and acoustics for work or gaming.
Dual ball fan bearings
Different bearing types have their own unique advantages and disadvantages. Dual ball bearings are highly durable and can last up to twice as long as sleeve bearings.
Ventilated backplate
Large ventilation openings on the backplate significantly improve heat dissipation, helping maintain lower GPU temperatures during intensive tasks. This additional airflow helps ensure optimal temperatures, enhancing performance, longevity, and stability while protecting against overheating and thermal throttling.
MaxContact design
MaxContact is a specialized manufacturing process by ASUS that effectively increases the surface area of the heat spreader located over the GPU by 5% compared to traditional designs. This improves temperatures by 2°C when combined with a large heatsink array and powerful Axial-tech fans.
Protective backplate
The PCB is reinforced with a metal backplate that adds structural rigidity, prevents bending, and protects components and traces from damage. The mounting bracket is made of corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel chosen for its strength and durability.
