The power subsystem of GIGABYTE B550 series motherboards, featuring a digital PWM controller and low RDS (on) MOSFETs, is designed in a 10+3 phase configuration, ensuring reliable operation of AMD Ryzen 3rd generation processors and other power-hungry motherboard components, along with improved performance and hardware scalability of the platform as a whole.
HDMI 2.1 is a high-definition multimedia interface, backward compatible with HDMI 2.0/1.4 standards, supporting data transfer rates up to 48 Gbps (twice as fast as the previous generation interface) over a single cable. This interface enables simultaneous transmission of multiple video streams in the cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio (in which most films are shot), supports Full HDR and HDCP 2.3 technologies, and ensures the best possible visual experience for media content.
Smart Fan 5
Thanks to Smart Fan 5, users can be confident that their gaming PC will operate under optimal thermal conditions without sacrificing performance. With temperature sensors located across the motherboard, Smart Fan 5 allows precise control of each individual fan. Additionally, Smart Fan 5 offers an increased number of hybrid fan headers supporting both PWM and Voltage modes, providing maximum convenience for managing installed liquid cooling systems.
RGB Fusion 2.0 App
The RGB Fusion 2.0 software fully unlocks its capabilities on GIGABYTE B550 series motherboards. Using the proprietary RGB Fusion 2.0 application, users can select and control PC lighting via integrated RGB LEDs and external addressable RGB LED strips. While color selection and preset lighting modes were available earlier, the control over addressable LED strips has been significantly enhanced. Each LED on such a strip can be digitally addressed, enabling unique color palettes, custom styles, and original lighting effects.
B550 series motherboards support connection of addressable LED strips (5 V power, up to 300 LEDs per strip). Using the RGB Fusion 2.0 software, users can apply new lighting templates and adjust numerous settings for each lighting mode.
