Description
AORUS motherboard based on the AMD B550 chipset, featuring a digital VRM module, PCIe 4.0 x16 interface port, two M.2 PCIe 4.0/3.0 connectors, Realtek RTL8118 GbE LAN gaming controller, Smart Fan 5 technology, and FAN STOP function.
Digital VRM module based on Low RDS (on) power MOSFETs, 5+3 phase power design
The power subsystem of GIGABYTE AORUS series motherboards is built around a digital PWM controller and Low RDS (on) power MOSFETs in a 5+3 phase configuration, ensuring reliable operation of 3rd generation AMD Ryzen processors and other power-hungry components, as well as increased platform performance and hardware scalability.
High-speed Gigabit LAN with automatic traffic prioritization
The Realtek RTL8118 GbE LAN chip is a high-performance network controller designed for gaming PCs, capable of automatically allocating network bandwidth resources to prioritize specific applications, including games. The controller includes all essential features that make Internet usage productive and secure.
Power MOSFET heatsink
The proprietary heatsink over the power MOSFET area ensures efficient heat dissipation.
A pre-shielded I/O port cluster simplifies PC assembly.
Smart Fan 5
With Smart Fan 5, users can ensure their gaming PC operates under optimal thermal conditions without sacrificing performance. Thanks to temperature sensors located across the motherboard, Smart Fan 5 allows control over each individual fan. Additionally, Smart Fan 5 offers more hybrid fan headers supporting both PWM and Voltage modes, providing maximum convenience for managing installed liquid cooling systems.
For those who value silence! The Fan Stop function completely stops the fan when the temperature drops below a user-defined threshold. Which fan stops based on which sensor and at what temperature can be fully customized according to user preferences.
RGB Fusion 2.0 software
The RGB Fusion 2.0 software fully unlocks the potential of addressable RGB LED strips on GIGABYTE B550 series motherboards. Using the proprietary RGB Fusion 2.0 application, users can select modes and control PC lighting implemented via onboard RGB and external addressable RGB LED strips. While color selection and preset lighting effects were available earlier, the control over addressable LED strips has been significantly enhanced. Each LED on such a strip can be digitally addressed, enabling unique color palettes, custom styles, and original lighting effects.
GIGABYTE B550 series motherboards support external addressable LED strips operating at up to 5V (up to 300 LEDs per strip). With RGB Fusion 2.0, users can apply new lighting templates and fine-tune numerous settings for each lighting mode.
