Less throttling, more carrying
When it comes to a premium gaming machine, it all starts with cooling, especially when purchasing a laptop. There's nothing worse than spending your hard-earned money on a gorgeous machine with state-of-the-art components, but then facing frame drops due to overheating of internal components. That's why the MAX 16 was designed with cooling in mind, and the result is a new OMEN Tempest Cooling PRO architecture.

The design philosophy is simple: how to maximize heat dissipation and minimize performance drops over time, so gamers can maintain peak performance throughout their gaming session, whether it's a 24-hour livestream or a 2-hour session after a long day at school/work. This task was solved with one thing (in a very simplified way). Space. For starters, the gap between the fans was increased by 1.6mm and the gap between the motherboard and the keyboard by another 1.5mm. This allowed air to move more freely through the case. Traditional liquid metal formulas are like RNG - when they work, it's great. The extra heat dissipation prevents heat from the CPU and GPU from building up, allowing the fans to keep up. However, when they fail, there is usually an impressive leak of heat from the components directly onto the motherboard, causing all sorts of problems and even leading to system failure. That's why a new hybrid material based on liquid metal called OMEN Cryo Compound was developed. Traditional gallium, instead of mixing it with ordinary indium, was coated with silicone. The increased viscosity of the silicone simultaneously provides the same heat dissipation benefits as compounds available on the market, but at the same time, the probability of leakage is much lower, significantly increasing the durability of the device.
